It was 80 years ago that the world found itself embroiled in WW2. Millions of women stepped up to fill the office and factory jobs men had left behind. Collectively, we call them Rosies, but they were the millions of amazing women who labored in factories, drove trucks, flew planes and worked in offices.
They were our mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers. Rosies Legacy Gear celebrates them with bandanas, pins, posters, mugs, socks and more.
In large part, we are where we are as women today because of Suffragists--women and men who believed that women deserved a vote and a voice.
It's been more than 100 years since the 19th Amendment, and we Celebrate Our Vote with buttons, colorful rosettes, hand signs and sashes.
In our effort to use Rosie as our starting point and expand the idea of Amazing Women, we created RosieCentral. It's sort of crossover site with both Rosie and Suffrage Gear as well as our Amazing Can Do Women figures and ornaments.
You can find it all (almost) at RosieCentral.
The more we read about women's lives, the more AMAZING we find them to be. And we're not only talking about celebrities and historical figures.
There are so many "ordinary" women who have led extraordinary lives. Let them inspire you to be all you can be.
It all started with our book, a collective memoir, Rosie's Daughters: The "First Woman To" Generation. And while our Rosie gear and other products grew out of that, we've never forgotten our roots--as authors, teachers and writing consultants.
Our Etsy store, Women's Memoir Writing, is a place to go for many inspirational writing products and books.
